One of our clients is looking for a permanent Support Worker to join their team to empower individuals with a range of care needs to live more independent and fulfilling lives – at home and in their community.

They are a family run health and social care company with very high standards – recently achieving an Outstanding CQC Domiciliary Care rating. They also pride themselves on the quality of training they provide and support they provide to all their staff.

Not only do they focus on the needs of their service users, helping them access their community to do the things they love and take part in work placements – but they also help individuals develop their skills, such as cooking, so they can become more independent.
In order to provide the highest levels of care, you’ll need to have:
- Good relationship building, communication and team player skills
- The ability to work alone using own your initiative, and manage your time effectively
- A professional conduct and a high level of attendance.
Previous experience of supporting adults with acquired brain injuries (ABI), learning difficulties, behaviour that challenges, autism, epilepsy and/or mental health needs is desirable, but not essential.
Competitive rates of pay and hours
Without any experience you’ll earn from £9.50 p/h (rising to £9.85 after probation) and with experience, including an NVQ Level 3 you’ll earn from £10.00 p/h (rising to £10.35 after probation). Standard contracts are for 36 hours a week
You’ll also receive £11.50 for waking night shifts, plus as this is a residential home is in a rural location you will also get £20 per week to support with travel costs (which is also paid during annual leave).

Terms and conditions:
*Enhanced overtime at rate of a further £2.50 per hour, rising to £3.00 per hour after completing four additional 12 hour shifts a month
**Starting bonus is made in two payments: £250 on the date you start and £250 on completion of your probation
***Long service award after 3, 5 and 10 years, where they’ll add an extra day to your annual leave entitlement.
